OUR PHILOSOPHY
We believe that each child is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring, and inspiring atmosphere in which to grow and mature emotionally, intellectually, physically, and socially. It is our desire and goal as educators to help all children meet their fullest potential.
We believe for children to construct knowledge, they need the opportunity to discover for themselves and practice skills in real life situations. Thus, we have developed a teaching curriculum that focuses on the children’s interests and fosters passion for learning. Given the opportunity for input, children under our care generate ideas and set goals that make for much richer activities than ones outlined only by adults.
For us teaching presents an opportunity for continual learning and growth. One of our hopes as educators is to inspire a love of learning in the children, as we share our own passion for education with them. We feel there is a need for compassionate, strong, and dedicated individuals who are excited about working with children, and thus aim to do our best to create an open learning environment that provides children with access to hands-on activities and freedom for individual discovery.
Child Supervision Plan ​
At Happy Tots each child’s safety and health is taken very seriously. Appropriately supervising the children is one of our top priorities, we will continue to uphold our high standards by doing the following:

Maintaining the staff/child ratio at all times, both indoors and outdoors.

Staff members will be positioned to easily see each child and interact with all of the children by frequently moving around the licensed space.

Arranging the classroom environment to assure a smooth traffic flow.

Frequently counting the children to help assure that everyone is counted for.

To assure that the children are safe at the meal table and properly supervised, the provider will join the children at the table.

Blocking accessibility to the unsupervised section of the daycare at all times and using section dividers to prevent the children from accessing unlicensed areas of the home.

6:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday - Friday
Introductory Visit
Every family is invited to visit my home at least once prior to enrollment. This will allow the family to look at the space and learn more about my teaching philosophy and for me to meet the child(ren) and learn about the parent’s needs. Please call in advance to schedule a visit at (425) 226-3326
